I have been programming in C, Perl, sh/sed/awk, Tcl, Tcl/Expect, and JavaScript for over 8 years. Experience in administration of Linux systems (Red Hat, Fedora Core, Debian, and others), kernels 1.2 through 2.6, and Windows 95 through to XP. Experience with configuration of Cisco IOS.

My usual work revolves around the maintenance, programming, and security of Internet services (mail, web, FTP and so on). This includes web server maintenance, Linux system administration, network security management, CGI programming in Perl, junk mail protection, and development of E-Commerce systems.
However, I am also available for work on non-Internet projects. Past commercial projects have included system admin automation, business call logging systems, customer billing and invoicing, and even karaoke system programming.
I am familiar with the administration of a variety of Linux systems and, as my portfolio demonstrates, I am a proficient developer in C, Perl, and Bourne shell. I have several years of experience with CGI programming with Apache under Unix systems using C and Perl, building with MySQL backends and less sophisticated alternatives, common system administration tasks, Unix daemon and utility programming, and system and network security.
